Institutions v Collaboration

Believe it or not this talk was given in 2005 and it is truly prescient.

This phenomena that Clay Shirky explains is something he has coined as the Cognitive Surplus and it has changed our world with concepts like Facebook, Twitter, Air BnB & Uber.

Harnessing the Cognitive Surplus and directing the fire-hose of individual expression has the power of transforming the economic models of media & brands trying to communicate to their customers.

As Dan Gilmore says "that members of the former audience, can now also be producers and not just consumers" Building co-operation into the infrastructure to allow cooperative expression between brands & consumers is why we started so we could be at the forefront of helping brands turn their customers into collaborators.
